    Combining an aerodynamic, stable front wheel with a carbon rear disc wheel, the Jet RC6.D Black wheelset is the perfect choice for battling against the clock on a rim brake TT or triathlon bike.


    The front wheel comprises a 60mm deep, HED patented, aero-sculpted profile to offer the best balance of drag reduction and stability in all weather conditions. This front wheel is paired to a rear disc wheel with a bulbous, undulating profile that slices through the air with minimal resistance. 


    Both wheels have a 21mm internal rim measurement that better supports tubeless-ready or standard clincher tyres, helping them perform with lower rolling resistance at comfort inducing lower tyre pressures. Additionally, both wheels have a hard black anodised, textured rim brake surface that reduces stopping distances by 25% in the dry and 70% in the wet compared to all carbon clincher rims. This braking surface also eliminates the chances of the rims overheating via heavy braking on technical courses.


    Sonic Pro hubs keep the rotational resistance and maintenance minimal, while 18 Sapim CX-Ray bladed spokes in the front wheel further reduce drag and heighten reliability.

    • Attention

      The anodised surface on Black wheels is a formulation that is harder than the cosmetic coating on many anodised aluminium rims.  

      With some forethought and minimal maintenance on the rider’s part it will last a long time so please take note of the following points:


      1) Use of clean rubber brake pads will result in the longest life of the black surface. 


      2) Embedded rocks and road grit will wear the anodising much faster than rubber brake compound.  Be advised that wet and/or dirty road surfaces will contaminate brake pads.  The road grit in badly contaminated pads will wear the black surface. 


      3) If your rides are regularly on wet and/or dirty roads the hard anodised surface on the Black rims will have a shorter life than it would in dry conditions.
